Good things are just around the corner!!

After a roller coaster ride on Friday
the final word was that it wasn't going to work
for the new house we had been planning on
for the last 3 months.
But, never worry there are lots of houses
in Michigan.
I am sure the Lord has some
Rockin' Awesome plan waiting right around the corner.
With lots and lots of blessing in store!!
Just so you know we had already canceled our internet
so it will be sporadic as to when I feel connected.
I am addicted to the internet so I will be around.

House Frustration!!

We have been ready to close on the house for a month and a half now!!
The kids have started at their new school. The house phone is disconnected. No, internet or cable. (I'm at the library right now.) 3/4 of our house is packed.
Why haven't we closed you ask. Well hold the surprise......one signature.
It seems as though Fannie Mae is backed up with all the foreclosures.
We are also getting little help from the listing agent. He seems to have issues with forwarding on our addendum. So, here we wait, housing prices are still dropping. We had to cancel our appliance order because they couldn't hold any longer. Today I called our Realtor and said if something doesn't happen SOON we are going to walk. We will see what happens.

Brumbaugh Madness

When we were first married Lloyd informed me
that March Madness was the only time I would
lose him to sports!!!
(I didn't even know what March Madness was!!)

My philosophy now after 11 years of marriage...
If you can't get away from it
You better join it..
Have you done your bracket??

Allie, Emma, Jackson and Reuben
did brackets this year.
It should be interesting...
Bring on the MaDnEsS!!!

Just some thoughts...

http://www.famous.co.za/news/newsletters/images/judge-mallet.jpg
I can't wait for the trial to be over so that I can write what I really think and feel about the whole trial etc. Up to this point I have to be fairly factual but just wait until the verdict is over then you'll get an earful (or eyeful as you will be reading) should you choose.

Yesterday, stunk!! Okay, the whole day didn't really stink just about 15 minutes of the day. I went to check the kids out of school so they can start at their new school on Monday. Mr. Independent aka Reuben decided to take it upon himself to leave Jackson's classroom and gather the girls. Only one problem he didn't tell me what he was doing which sent me into immediate panic mode. The school was letting other students leave the halls were chaos. Finally, I found Allie with him. You would think all would be well and my nerves would calm. I turn the corner to find the lady who pulled Jackson away from me at the park sitting there. I wanted to scream, run away and cry all at the same time. Why WHy WHY do my boys insist on doing what they want when they want to. I did feel a bit bad for the lady because she looked a bit worried as to what I was going to do. Little does she know I am terrified of her. I did keep it together until I got to the car and could get someone on the phone to cry!! I think I would have been fine either Reuben ran off or I saw the lady but the situation was just too close for comfort. Needless to say as much as I loved my kids teachers, I won't miss the chance encounters.

Finally, my blog is private. However, it is only private because of the trial stuff. If you know of someone who wants to be invited just have them send me an e-mail. (Not that I really think there are sooo many out their, but maybe a few.) As long as I either know them or know of them I don't have a problem sending an invite. I just don't want the media reading my blog. I hope to someday take off the private status.

In the beginning....

It all started here....

I had just finished my first year at Ricks (BYU-Idaho). My sister-in-law was going to have her second baby so I thought I would go to Arizona and be "helpful" and have a fun summer. My first Sunday there Wendi (my sister-in-law) asked me to help in primary. I said sure and off to primary I went. What I didn't know was Lloyd was in the same meeting and followed me until I went into the primary room. So, that was our first missed opportunity. I didn't see Lloyd at all. After one week I decided there weren't any cute boys in the ward so Wendi found the singles ward and off I went. I had been going to the singles ward for about a month I was just starting to make friends. On June 8th I turned around in my bench looking for any of my friends. I spotted one a few rows back and said "Come up here!" Again I was blind I didn't see Lloyd sitting right behind me. He said "Are you talking to me?" After a quick scan of his appearance I decided I was talking to him. (Is that lying in church? If so I think I have been forgiven. :0) I found out his name and that he served a mission in SLC. I new another guy who served in the SLC mission so I asked if he knew him. Probably not the best starting point. I don't remember much about sacrament that day or church until the very end. At some point I had been told the best thing to do was remember someones name. So, as we are walking out the door (amazing how I timed it so well) I said, "Lloyd, right? I'll see you at FHE." Then I realized he followed me almost all the way home. I later found out we lived about 1/2 mile apart. When I walked in the door I sat down and said, "I met the cutest boy today all I want is one date!!" There you have my version of how I lied, got the boy, and lived happily ever after. Okay, maybe not happily ever after but we have some fun plowing through life.
