I knew I was sick...Just not that sick
So, to recap the last two months on July 10th I gave birth to Nora.
Lloyd's parent came to help for a week, then Lloyd stayed home the next week
the ward brought in meals and we were well on our way to recovery.
I started not feeling great and August 1st landed in the hospital with a kindey infection.
The amazing Ypsilanti ward took kids brought in meals.
Tiffany had at least some of the kids every day and Heidi had them quite often too.
We got home on Monday more meals from the ward and kind people taking kids.
I thought everything was going well until last Monday.
I started not feeling well so I went to the doctor on Tuesday, another UTI ??
They give me antibiotics just incase. I break down and call my mom to come help.
More help from the ward and friends.
Wednesday morning I call to get test results,
no infection but I should go to the ER for the pain and further testing.
At the ER the doc say yes, infection get more antibiotics to take along with previous ones.
Mom comes to save the day.
Call the internal med. doctor can't get in to get an appointment until Monday.
Thursday morning feeling so sick and nauseous call the internal medicine doctor and get in at 9:40 a.m. she says no infection and go off all antibiotics.
I get the referral to the Urologist and an appointment for next morning at 8:00 a.m.
Friday morning I go the Urologist and YES infection.
No antibiotics until culture comes back on Monday.
Friday afternoon my sister calls. She has received flowers for the
impending death of her sister, ME!!
That was the best medicine of all I laughed and laughed I knew I was sick I just didn't know I was going to die!!
Do they know something I don't?

Nora's Blessing
Sunday was Nora's blessing. We were thankful that Dad Brumbaugh was helping Leslie move to Hartford Connecticut. They made a pit stop at our little home, and we were able to work in the blessing. We know more family wished they could have been here, hopefully the picture will make-up for it a bit. It is amazing how sweet and close to heaven little ones are.Wednesday, August 6, 2008
Memory Tag - You're it!
A few friends have this post on their blogs so I guess I was tagged.
Let's see ..... who reads my blog... and who's gutsy enough to comment! Is this a good idea!? You might learn something new about me from the comments! Well.... here goes.....
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! I guess good or bad, but be nice! (If you don't have a blogger account, you can still leave a comment under Anonymous.
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog (if you have one) and see how many people leave a memory about you.(if you're reading this, consider yourself tagged!)

Mandatory Rest for MOM!!
Things I liked:
Great Doctors
Amazing nurses
All the Juice I could drink
Some peace and quiet
Insurance will pay for it
Antibiotics
Drugs for the asking
Outstanding friends & ward members
who have helped with kids,
meals, house
Things I didn't like:
Hotel was a hospital
Fevers that strike fast and furious
Four tries to start an IV,
it takes 5 to start one on me
Looking like a pin cushion from all
the blood draws and IV's
Hospital Food
Family far away
Kidney Infection causing it all!!
Thank-you to everyone who has helped and prayed. It isn't so fun when you can't be a mom!!
